Biography

Kathryn focuses her practice on non-gaming economic development, the creation of tribal business and non-profit entities, and corporate transactions. Kathryn Petersen is a member of the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians. She is also a graduate of Michigan State University College of Law’s Indigenous Law and Policy program. While at MSU College of Law, she worked as a student clinician in the Indian Law Clinic, where she conducted research on various ICWA issues affecting Tribes.
